More data of companies in Southeast Asia, plus ANZ

Here’s some great news.

The scoutAsia web app has grown its corporate data coverage considerably by adding:

  • Australia & New Zealand 
  • Further coverage of joint ventures, holding companies & subsidiaries in Southeast Asia
  • Medium-sized companies* in Southeast Asia
    • *Companies that match at least one of the following conditions:
      • Operating revenue >= 1 million EUR (1.3 million USD)
      • Total assets >= 2 million EUR (2.6 million USD)
      • Employees >=15
      • Not “Very large” or “Large” based on Bureau van Dijk’s company size classifications.

The overall number of companies is now increased by more than 4.1 million as of today (22nd March).
With the addition of Australia and New Zealand, the database covers 26 countries & regions in the Asia Pacific.

At soutAsia, company data is not just meant to provide company profiles and financials. With AI technologies, we link company data with news more efficiently and bring insights.

“News mentioning” section on Company profile pages is one example.
You can see the momentum of news mentions on the company you are researching. If you click on a particular column, it gives you a list of the sources & articles that mentioned the company on that day.

There is another implementation of company data into news monitoring at our advanced news monitoring feature “Radar”.

With Radar, you can find a ranking of companies based on the number of mentions within your news feed. This “Most mentioned companies” may give you an idea of additional entities to watch or to research further on.
